AIMEG Membership Agreement & Constitution
Version 1.0 — Effective May 18, 2026
Preamble
We, the members of the AI Media & Entertainment Guild (AIMEG), establish this agreement to protect the rights, standards, and creative legitimacy of human beings who direct, produce, and create media using artificial intelligence tools. We exist to ensure that the next era of entertainment is built on ethical foundations, fair compensation, and recognition of human creative oversight.
Article I — Name & Purpose
Section 1.1 Name The name of this organization shall be the AI Media & Entertainment Guild, hereafter referred to as "AIMEG" or "the Guild."
Section 1.2 Mission AIMEG exists to:
- Establish and enforce standards for AI-assisted media production
- Advocate for the intellectual property rights of AI-assisted creators
- Issue recognized credits and certifications
- Build a global membership body of creators, studios, and platforms
- Negotiate collectively on behalf of AI-era creative workers
- Certify training programs and educational curricula
- Run annual recognition programs for outstanding AI-produced content
Section 1.3 Jurisdiction AIMEG operates globally, with regional chapters established by the Board of Directors. All members are subject to this Constitution regardless of geographic location.
Article II — Membership
Section 2.1 Categories Membership shall be offered in three tiers:
- Individual Creator — Open to any natural person actively engaged in AI-assisted media creation.
- Studio Member — Open to production companies, post-houses, and creative agencies employing AI tools.
- Enterprise Member — Open to streaming platforms, broadcasters, distributors, and technology companies.
Section 2.2 Eligibility
- Individual Creators must demonstrate active involvement in at least one AI-assisted production within the preceding 24 months, OR complete AIMEG's foundational certification program.
- Studio Members must employ at least one AIMEG-certified individual and commit to AIMEG standards on all productions.
- Enterprise Members must distribute or platform AI-assisted content and agree to AIMEG certification requirements for certified productions.
Section 2.3 Application Process
- Submit completed application via aimeg.net
- Pay applicable initiation fee and first period dues
- For Individual Creators: submit portfolio or certification exam results
- For Studio/Enterprise: submit organizational profile and compliance attestation
- AIMEG Membership Committee reviews within 14 business days
- Approved members receive digital membership card and AIMEG ID number
Section 2.4 Dues & Fees

Dues are reviewed annually by the Board and ratified by member vote.
Section 2.5 Rights of Members All members shall have the right to:
- Use AIMEG certification marks on eligible productions
- Access member-only resources, forums, and events
- Vote in Guild elections (Individual and Studio members; Enterprise members have advisory vote)
- Access AIMEG dispute resolution and arbitration services
- Participate in collective bargaining agreements
- Receive Guild newsletters, rate sheets, and industry updates
- Access AIMEG health and welfare benefits (after qualifying hours)
Section 2.6 Termination Membership may be terminated by:
- Voluntary resignation with 30 days written notice
- Non-payment of dues for 90+ days
- Violation of AIMEG Code of Ethics (see Article IV)
- Fraudulent certification or misrepresentation
Article III — Governance
Section 3.1 Board of Directors The Guild shall be governed by a Board of Directors comprising:
- 5 elected Individual Creator representatives
- 3 elected Studio representatives
- 2 elected Enterprise representatives
- 1 independent industry expert appointed by the Board
Directors serve staggered 3-year terms.
Section 3.2 Officers The Board shall elect from its members:
- President
- Vice President of Standards
- Vice President of Advocacy
- Secretary-Treasurer
Officers serve 2-year terms, maximum two consecutive terms.
Section 3.3 Committees Standing committees include:
- Standards Committee (certification, rate setting, ADL classification)
- Advocacy Committee (legislative lobbying, IP rights, public relations)
- Education Committee (curriculum, training partnerships, exams)
- Awards Committee (annual recognition program)
- Ethics Committee (disciplinary proceedings, member conduct)
Section 3.4 Meetings
- Annual General Meeting: held Q1 each year, all members invited
- Board Meetings: monthly, quorum requires 6 of 11 directors
- Special Meetings: may be called by President or petition of 10% of voting members
Article IV — Code of Conduct & Discipline
Section 4.1 Standards of Conduct All members shall:
- Uphold the AIMEG Code of Ethics in all professional activities
- Accurately represent AI dependency levels on certified productions
- Pay all covered workers at or above AIMEG minimum rates
- Respect the intellectual property rights of fellow creators
- Not engage in deceptive practices regarding AI-generated content
Section 4.2 Disciplinary Proceedings The Ethics Committee shall investigate alleged violations. Process:
- Written complaint filed with Ethics Committee
- Preliminary review within 14 days
- If substantiated, formal hearing scheduled within 60 days
- Member may present defense and call witnesses
- Committee renders decision within 14 days of hearing
- Sanctions range from warning to suspension to expulsion
- Appeals may be filed to the full Board within 30 days
Section 4.3 Decertification Productions found in willful violation of AIMEG standards may be decertified. Decertified productions lose the right to use AIMEG marks and may be publicly listed.
Article V — Collective Bargaining
Section 5.1 Exclusive Representation AIMEG serves as the exclusive bargaining representative for its members in negotiations with platforms, studios, and technology companies regarding AI-era creative work.
Section 5.2 Bargaining Units Bargaining units shall be organized by craft and region, including but not limited to:
- Prompters & Creative Directors
- AI Pipeline Engineers
- Creative Supervisors
- Voice Artists (synthetic-augmented)
- AI-Assisted Editors
Section 5.3 Ratification All collective bargaining agreements must be ratified by majority vote of the affected bargaining unit.
Article VI — Amendments
Section 6.1 Proposal Amendments may be proposed by:
- Majority vote of the Board of Directors, OR
- Petition signed by 5% of voting members
Section 6.2 Ratification Proposed amendments shall be distributed to all voting members with 30 days for review. Ratification requires:
- Two-thirds majority of votes cast by Individual members
- Two-thirds majority of votes cast by Studio members
- Advisory approval by Enterprise members
Section 6.3 Effective Date Amendments take effect 30 days after ratification unless otherwise specified.
Article VII — Dissolution
In the event of dissolution, all remaining assets shall be transferred to a non-profit organization with a substantially similar mission, as determined by the Board of Directors and ratified by member vote.
